How to make sure those "links for sale" offers are worth it?

You probably know that high-quality inbound links are the foundation of effective search engine marketing.

(Reciprocal links aren't working any more. The search engines are on to them. Having a few on your site won't get you penalized, but having only reciprocal links will definitely send up a red flag.)

However, it takes a lot of time to build an effective structure of one-way inbound links. So to get the ball rolling, you may want to consider buying some.

But there are good links to buy... and bad links to buy. Today I'm going to tell you how to identify the good ones, and use them to build a solid link network the search engines will LOVE.

Rule #1: Build a content-rich site people actually WANT to link to. That's your core of your long-term strategy. After all, if your content is useless who's going to want to send their visitors there?

Rule #2: Make sure the linking site has content that's relevant to your website. If your site is about dog training, don't buy a link from a site that teaches people how to play the piano.

Rule #3: Make sure the site has a high Google PageRank and a regular flow of incoming traffic. A site with a PageRank with 4 or higher is considered good. And there's a free tool called Alexa you can use to see how much traffic a site gets. (Check it out at http://www.alexa.com.) If the site gets only a trickle of traffic, a link from it isn't going to help you very much.

Rule #4: Include your best keywords in the anchor text. And remember to vary your anchor text from link to link. If people were naturally linking to your website, they wouldn't use the exact same anchor text.

Rule #5: Make sure your link gets put in a high-traffic spot on the other site. The best place is at the top of the homepage, usually on the right.

Rule #6: Get links from as many different kinds of sites as you can. Get them from logs and online PDF documents, as well as e-zines and newsletters. Look for sites that get a lot of visitors and newsletters with a high readership.

Rule #7: (And here's the kicker): Don't buy a whole bunch of links all at once! Why? Because if your brand-new site suddenly has hundreds -- or even thousands -- of links pointing to it, Google's going to penalize you!

Google is very good at identifying links that aren't "organic." If a site gets a whole bunch of links all at once, it looks suspicious.

On top of that, Google tracks links from well-known link sellers and brokers. It doesn't count them as "natural" links, so having them won't help you. In fact, having too many of them will actually harm you.

So definitely beware of sites that advertise an offer like this:

... Yikes. Offers like that'll get you booted off of Google in no time flat!

You've got to plan your link purchases carefully. If you stagger them out, it'll look as if you acquired them naturally over time.

Try to buy links from sites that aren't regularly in the business of selling links. You may even have to explain once or twice why you want a link from them. But the time you put into getting these links will be worth it.

Google, Yahoo, and MSN will all LOVE you -- and you'll never have to worry about being dropped from their listings because of bad links.

"But they said I would be rich! What happened?"

You've heard the saying, "If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is."

Well, if you follow this principle when deciding how you'll make money on the Internet, you could save yourself a significant amount of grief in the future.

So what's the best way to fight these scammers? The answer is simple: EDUCATION.

Today I'm going to educate you on how to filter the REAL money-making opportunities from all the B.S. out there, with my "Scam Detector Check List"!

Whenever you come across a possible business opportunity, simply consult this handy checklist. It'll help you discover if it really is a genuine opportunity -- or a genuine waste of money.

1. If they can't prove a successful track record -- it might be a scam

If you've never heard of them before -- and they can't offer solid proof they've got a successful track record -- then how can you trust them to help YOU make money?

Be skeptical. Ask questions. Search for the URL in Google... are they listed?

If you can't find any positive consumer reviews about them -- or if the only reviews you find are negative -- you should definitely think twice about doing business with them.

2. If they can't show you legitimate testimonials -- it might be a scam

If you are making a significant investment in a business opportunity, the company you are purchasing from should be willing to put you in contact with other successful students. We get this request all of the time, and have numerous successful students who are happy to give us a personal reference at a moment's notice.

In fact, we even use video testimonials on our sites. What better way to confirm testimonials are real than to get them straight from the source -- and watch people actually say them in their own words?

3. If they give you a product to sell, as well as the web site to sell it -- it might be a scam

If someone's offering to give you a product to sell, AND the website to sell it on, beware! Chances are hundreds -- if not thousands -- of other people are selling the exact same product with the exact same website. With so much competition, only a small percentage of sellers will ever make any money.

That's why at IMC, we're so adamant about teaching our students how to find their own niche market and develop or find their own products to sell. It's the philosophy our entire training system is founded on.

I truly believe niche marketing is the only GUARANTEED way to start a successful business on the Internet. Not using the same website to sell the exact same product that thousands of other people are selling!

4. If the company is charging you money to sell their products -- it might be a scam

If a company says you can sell their product and they will pay you a commission from each sale -- but you need to pay them for the opportunity to do so -- chances are it's a scam.

The truth is, companies like this KNOW their "affiliates" aren't going to generate any sales. That's why they need to get your money up front!

Take it from someone who's run a highly successful affiliate program for years. If someone wants to become an IMC affiliate and sell my products for me, I'd never make them pay! Why should they? They're doing me a favor!

5. If you cannot talk to them in person -- it might be a scam

Before you make a significant investment in a business opportunity, give the vendors a call. Talk to them in person. Ask them hard questions. If you cannot talk to them in person then don't do business with them!

And finally, use common sense. If you apply the points above and ask lots of questions, chances are you will make the right decisions and pursue the right opportunities.

Just remember: When it comes to online success, there is no magic pill. If you want to start a real business on the Internet you need to be prepared to put in the time and effort to get there.

Abe's Books started out as a small used bookshop in Victoria, Canada. When the original shopkeeper started complaining about how much time she had to spend tracking down rare or hard-to-find books for her customers, her "techie" husband suggested using the Internet.

Talk about a good idea. Just 10 years after going online, CEO Hannes Blum reports that AbeBooks.com is now selling $170 million worth of books a year!

Here's a rundown of some of the strategies the company has used to achieve its incredible success:
List segmentation: This company puts a lot of effort into splitting their customers and subscribers into different niche groups, and then presenting those groups with targeted promotional offers that speak directly to their needs.

Hannes says, "It's much more effective to contact our customers this way than with 'broad strokes.'"


Targeted newsletters: AbeBooks.com offers newsletters on a wide range of topics, so that people can get free information on their specific interests.

"We have specialist e-newsletters dedicated to textbooks, rare book collecting and niche genres like science fiction and fantasy," Hannes says.


Search engine optimization: "All of our sites are designed to bring in natural traffic when people are searching for authors and books," he says.

"Search engines are the roads people travel along when using the Internet to get places. If you're not putting out signs to capture their attention, they'll never find their way to you!"


Pay-per-click campaigns: Hannes says his company uses all the major pay-per-click programs -- Google, MSN, and Yahoo.

"Books encompass a massive variety of subjects, so we bid on a variety of keywords: titles, author names, genre names," he says. "You definitely have to know how your audience is trying to find you to use these programs effectively."
SUCCESS STORY #2: ToolKing.com -- $25 million in sales in 2006

Don Cohen's first online selling experience was on eBay. He and his 14-year-old son decided to list two items for $4.00 -- and they didn't even sell!

Social networking: Don has built an online community site to support his sales site. People can go there to read free product reviews and recommendations, as well as industry information that's difficult to find anywhere else.

"They can come and get involved in various forums and workshops, set up blogs, connect with our staff, and access a ton of free information and product reviews on the tools and tool brands we sell," he says.

"The more value we can offer our visitors and customers, the more likely they are to return to our sites again and again, and give us the chance to market our products to them. And that's what we want!"


Search engine optimization: "Relevant content and relevant links are both very positive in terms of search engine optimization, and we're really providing them with both things on a consistent basis," Don says.

"You want to keep the spiders combing through your sites on a daily basis to see what's there. You want to know where people head once they've been there -- and how they got there in the first place!"


Dedication to customer satisfaction: "The bigger you get, the easier it is to forget that your customers are the bottom line -- not just your profits -- and that you need to satisfy THEM in the end, if you want to grow," Don says.

"We aim to provide the best product at the best price without sacrificing customer satisfaction, or putting a dent that all-important customer relationship."
... Of course, if you're just getting started, the idea of building a business that makes $25 million -- or $170 million! -- probably seems a bit ambitious.

Article Submitter Review

While article submission isn't anything shockingly new to the world of SEO, many people STILL don't do it... and for good reason. It takes so incredibly long to do manually.


I'll admit, I had tried article submission at one point, but after I finally found a few article dircetories to submit my articles to, and then after manually copying and pasting my information into the required textboxes on each submission site, I quickly realized that my time could be better spent doing something else.


Then I came across a free program created by Brad Callen and Bryxen Software, Inc. that allows you to automatically submit your articles to hundreds of article directories with a few mouse clicks. Basically all I had to do was input my article criteria into the software, ONCE! Then, the program would automatically fill in all of the required data at each of the submission websites. Then, you can move to the next directory, go through the list, and by the time you're finished you'll have roughly 700 one way links pointing to your website.


I can't think of an easier way to get links. Of course, if you're going to get links this quickly, it's important to submit different variations of your articles, to make things look more natural to the search engines.


You can do this very easily via Article Submitter when you create your project in the beginning.

Editorial: "But the other gurus told me to not worry about Google!"

Recently I've been hearing about a handful of Internet marketing "gurus" who seem to be intentionally misleading people. They're saying you DON'T need to worry about getting good rankings in Google, Yahoo! and MSN.


That's news to me!


Apparently, these gurus are telling people to focus only on traffic strategies like pay-per-click search engines, free content, blogging, and viral videos. They're saying not to worry about organic search marketing because it's a waste of time.


Now all those other strategies are valuable sources of traffic... but they don't hold a candle to the free search engines!


I'm going to be blunt, and I'm sure I'll ruffle some feathers when I say this -- but the fact is, anyone who says that Google, Yahoo! and MSN are a waste of time doesn't know how to get good rankings for their own sites!


But instead of admitting they don't know how to market their own businesses in the search engines, they'd rather lie to their students and say it's not important. And that is doing a HUGE disservice to their students and damaging their chances of success.


I'll be the first to admit: getting top search engine rankings is not an overnight job. But it's not what I'd call exceptionally difficult.


With the right information -- and a systematic approach to building a solid SEO campaign that gives the search engines what they're looking for -- you will get good rankings eventually.


The more competitive your market, the longer this can take... but persistence will pay off.


Does the benefit justify the effort? Well, in my humble opinion... absolutely.


Research has shown that a listing in the organic search engines will get 3 times as many click-throughs as the equivalent pay-per-click listing. AND, it'll have a 17% higher sales conversion! Those numbers sound good to me :-)


Search engine marketing isn't rocket science. It's a process. If you follow that process and stay on top of the latest tips and tricks you'll definitely see a profit.

What NOT to sell on the Internet

Are you just getting started and trying to figure out what to sell online?


If yes, there are 3 rules you absolutely MUST follow in order to avoid going down the wrong product path.


These rules have nothing to do with researching supply and demand or locating a niche market to sell to. They actually precede that kind of research. And if you violate one of them, then I can guarantee the product you choose will NOT be a good money maker.


So here they are...


Rule #1: Don't sell something people can easily buy at the local supermarket!


Or mall, or hardware store, or electronics shop, or sports store, etc. etc.


Why would people go online to buy something they can easily get on their regular weekly shopping trip?


Unless you can offer something truly unique -- such as a lower price or a hard-to-find product -- you'll find it tough to compete with the convenience and the lack of shipping costs those offline alternatives offer.


Rule #2: Don't sell a "time-sensitive" product!


If you try to sell something people need RIGHT AWAY, you're going to have a hard time convincing them to wait a few days for it to be shipped to them.


For example, if you do proper keyword research you'll see that thousands of people do searches every month on the keyword, "cure sore throat fast."


But here's the challenge: If someone wants to cure a sore throat fast, do you think they're going to wait for you to ship a herbal remedy? No! They're looking for immediate results. And once their cold has gone, their desire to buy any kind of cough remedy will vanish along with it.


Rule #3: Don't enter a market with a massive amount of competition!


If there's already a huge number of savvy marketers selling to your intended market, you should probably choose a different market.


Take world-famous online "shopping mall" Amazon.com, for example. They're one of the hugest online vendors out there. If you decide to start your own catalog site selling a general selection of books, or music, or DVDs, how will you ever be able to compete with an industry giant like Amazon?


Unless you figure out a way to offer a lower price (doubtful) or cater to a very specific niche Amazon hasn't yet tapped (difficult), you're going to have a hard time getting your business off the ground.


Nothing is impossible... but the more competitive a market, the more time and money it will cost for you to become successful.


If these rules seem ridiculously obvious, then I apologize for wasting your time. But I had to mention them. Every day, I see budding entrepreneurs break these rules and spend weeks... months... and even years working extremely hard for minuscule results.


And it frustrates me, because I know it didn't have to be that way.

Directory Submitter Review

You may or may not know that Website Directory Submission is quickly becoming
a very popular and easy way to get quality, one way links to your website.


These kind of links are exactly what the search engines are looking for. The
websites with more quality, one way links are typically the sites that rank
the highest, period.


With that said, there are several websites dircetory submission programs on
the market. The best and easiest to use is a new program created by Brad Callen,
called Directory Submitter.


The software currently contains around 1700 website directories, all free.
It is the most straightforward program that we've come across, in that all you
need to do is:


1. Input your website details (i.e. title, description, URL, etc.) into the
software


2. Click on the directory you want to submit to


And then the program will automatically fill in your website details. Then,
you simply click the submit button and your website is instantly submitted to
the directory. Then, you can move to the next directory, go through the list,
and by the time you're finished you'll have roughly 1500 one way links pointing
to your website.


I can't think of an easier way to get links. Of course, if you're going to
get links this quickly, it's important to vary your website title (anchor text)
every 20-30 links or so, to make things look more natural to the search engines.

Keeping Your Dreams Alive . . .

Many of us have aspirations of a more prosperous life, more time
for ourselves & family, money for retirement, a larger house, a
fancy sports car, grand vacations, you name it . . .

But things might get in the way, such as:

* Your environment and the people you know and hang around;

* The mental programming you are receiving by what you are
watching on tv, reading or hearing on a daily basis; and,

* Your daily habits of your words, thoughts and actions.

Think about the past few hours. Is what you've seen, heard, said
or did getting your closer to your goals or taking you further
away?

Make a quick mental list of all the negativity you were bombarded
with this past week. Think of all the TV shows you watched, the
radio you listened to, the conversations you heard and had. How
did or how could they affect your dreams and goals?

You need to identify negative influences, limiting beliefs, and
habits that might be getting in your way and replace them with
beliefs that serve your highest good.

Here are 3 things you can do to keep your dreams alive, and turn
them into reality.

1. Get clear about what you really want to do, have and become.

Take a notepad and go some place you feel peaceful, like the
deck in your backyard or a favorite sitting room in your
house, and reflect on what you really want. Write it all down
in your notepad to help anchor it into your mind. Now I'm
sure you have heard this many times before -- but seriously,
have you ever done it?

2. Seek out positive people and mentors.

Make a list of the 5 people closest to you, such as friends,
family, co-workers, and determine whether they encourage your
dreams or discourage you. Surround yourself with people whose
dreams are as big or bigger than yours.

3. Feed your mind with positive influences.

Is the majority of what you are filling your brain with
congruent to the vision of you want out of life? Or is it
simply a mindless or negative distraction that does nothing
to exercise your brain or promote positive thoughts? You
might monitor what your children are watching and listening
to -- but are you doing the same for yourself? Be careful of
negative programming - no matter what age you are.

We've been in the network marketing industry a long time, and the
most successful and prosperous people in the business actively
pursue their dreams and have a daily self-development regime.
They know that by feeding their brains with healthy, positive
influences they are programming themselves for success and
prosperity.

What Is Your Why?

When we start coaching someone, we focus on helping them

figure out their "WHY". Why are they doing whatever

business they're doing?

People always tell their goals.

That's fine. You need goals.

But the REAL truth is, WHY are YOU doing this business?

There's a big, big, big reason, something that will keep

you going.


If your "WHY" is a 70% and you come up against an obstacle

that's a 72%, you're gone! You'll drop out, disappear.

But when your "WHY" is so huge that it can't be

overshadowed, THEN you're there to stay and be successful.

When I first started coaching and people would write down

their "WHY", it was usually money. They want to make so

much money, or pay off a hospital bill, or replace an old

car. Whatever.

But your REAL "WHY" is never money. It's always about who

you really are.

Why are you on this planet? What is it you were meant to

do? In one form or another, you're here to change lives,

touch lives, help people.

It's NEVER about the money.

When I coach a person, I always tell my own "WHY". It'll

give you a starting point. So I'll share it with you.

The #1 reason I'm in this business, that I'm here on this

planet, is because I want to spend more quality time with

my family. People say, "Jason, that's crazy. You work

full-time in network marketing, you work at home. You're

already right there."

Yes. BUT ... I treat business as business. When I'm in the

office, I'm in the office. Same as if my office was 20

miles away.

Yeah, I can walk into the kitchen and grab a sandwich and

see the family.

But this is a business. I treat it like a business.

So #1 is spend more quality time with my family.

#2, my second "WHY", is to feel good about myself. That's

why we have done Pay-It-Forward 4 Profits for people in any

network marketing company. We've never charged a dime.

My credentials? Twelve years of hard knocks, 12 years

of life lessons. Full-time in network marketing since

1998.

I've seen it all. Everytime a company or distributorship

explodes and goes away, it's because of greed and ego.

Beware greed & ego. Stay away.


The people we attract don't have a greed & ego problem.

They are humble people, people who want success.

But there's more to this "WHY". It's very personal ...

just as your "WHY" should be.

My school teachers were pessimists. They'd tell me, "You're

no good. You'll never amount to anything. You'll never have a

pot to pee in."

But I programmed my mind to reject what they told me.

My mother, would say, "Jason, I

love you. I'm proud of you. You can do anything you want.

Look at that beautiful picture you drew for me!"

At 7 years old, I made a conscious decision that I liked

my Mom's reality better than I liked my teachers reality.

So when my teachers or anyone started running me down, I'd

just step into the theater of my mind. I'd picture & hear my Mom

saying what a great kid I was. I'd literally feel her hugging me.

I'd stop feeling bad.

So now, to feel good about myself, I MUST help people.

There's a husband and wife team that was with a network

marketing company for 2 years and never sponsored

anybody. We've been coaching them 7 or 8 months. It's

amazing. They may win the top recruiter award in their

company this year. They're sponsoring 10 or 12 people a

month.

They've gone from their heads to their hearts.

You'll hear me say this a lot. It's NOT a sales business.

It's a teaching/mentoring business. They're not selling

anything. I mean, really, they're NOT selling anything.

They are Paying It Forward.


I exist to mentor & coach you to success. Not MY success.

So my first bit of coaching is, figure out your own "WHY".

Write it down. Test it mentally. (Is it enough to keep you

going in VERY tough times?)

you have almost NO chance of sticking around long enough

sparkling glitter tells you that it has nothing to do

with who you are or what you want to do, and you can toss

it. Or, on rare occasions, maybe it IS something you can use.

Either way, your Statement of Principles keeps you on

track. Feel free to use ours until you have developed

your own: "We Fully Realize That No Wealth Or Position Can Long

Endure, Unless Built Upon Truth And Justice; Therefore,

We Will Engage In No Transaction Which Will Not Benefit

WEALTH, SUCCESS AND LOVE

A woman came out of her house and saw 3 old men with long white beards sitting in her front yard. She did not recognize them. She said "I don't think I know you, but you must be hungry. Please come in and have something to eat."

"Is the man of the house home?", they asked.

"No", she replied. "He's out."

"Then we cannot come in", they replied.

In the evening when her husband came home, she told him what had happened.

"Go tell them I am home and invite them in!"

The woman went out and invited the men in"

"We do not go into a House together," they replied.

"Why is that?" she asked.

One of the old men explained: "His name is Wealth," he said pointing to one of his friends, and said pointing to another one, "He is Success, and I am Love." Then he added, "Now go in and discuss with your husband which one of us you want in your home."

The woman went in and told her husband what was said. Her husband was overjoyed. "How nice!!", he said. "Since that is the case, let us invite Wealth. Let him come and fill our home with wealth!"

His wife disagreed. "My dear, why don't we invite Success?"

Their daughter-in-law was listening from the other corner of the house. She jumped in with her own suggestion: "Would it not be better to invite Love?

Our home will then be filled with love!"
"Let us heed our daughter-in-law's advice," said the husband to his wife.

"Go out and invite Love to be our guest."

The woman went out and asked the 3 old men, "Which one of you is Love? Please come in and be our guest"

Love got up and started walking toward the house. The other 2 also got up and followed him. Surprised, the lady asked Wealth and Success: "I only invited Love, Why are you coming in?"

The old men replied together: "If you had invited Wealth or Success, the other two of us would've stayed out, but since you invited Love, wherever He goes, we go with him. Wherever there is Love, there is also Wealth and Success!!!!!!"

MY PRAYER FOR YOU... Where there is pain, I pray you will have peace and mercy. Where there is self-doubting, I pray your confidence will be renewed. In His love and Holy Spirit, your ability to work through it.

Where there is tiredness, or exhaustion, I pray you will have understanding, patience, and renewed strength.

Where there is fear, I pray your love will increase, and your courage soar.

Discover What Prospects Consider Most Important In Deciding On A Company

Who gave the presentation? Is that a surprise? It’s about YOU. People join people, they don’t join companies. So the most important item to prospects by a landslide is "who gave the presentation?" Again, that's from a prospect stand point. Maybe to us it’s more important to know the company name, how long it’s been in business, who’s the founder, and so forth. But the prospect wants to know exactly who gave the presentation. This is a people business, when you care about people, they relate to that.

Up-line support. Back to YOU again, the 2nd most important factor, again won by a landslide. Prospects need to know if YOU will be of any help to them, and will the up-line be any help? So number one is, people join people ... but #2 is pretty much the same. They want to know if they can do it, and their definitely not going to join somebody they don’t like, because then they have to work with them.

Training Provided. Look at this! They aren't even wondering about money yet, we haven’t talked about a company, were still talking about YOU. #3 is about you again. Do you have a conference call we can plug into? Do you have some systems in place to help us be successful? Do you have training? Does the company do training? Are you a good sponsor? Will you help me? A LOT of people aren't sure they can do this. Maybe it's their first exposure to network marketing. But if they know they'll be trained by someone who's good, that raises their belief level. One thing I do with my people, when I work with someone or when I sponsor someone I tell them please, please, listen to this specific tape. Or read this book. And I tell them please do not talk to anybody. I don’t want you to go try to sell your friends & family. Let me work with you, help you get educated on this business. We'll work together to get you successful. So it’s critical that you help that person and give them the training they need. I know some new people get just the opposite. You join and the first thing you hear is, "OK. Let’s go hammer the phones. Make your list today. We'll start calling tomorrow at 5:00PM when you get off work."I'm saying, "Back up! Don't burn that bridge."If I just joined your business and had no idea what I was talking about, I'd probably say the wrong thing. I'd be excited and leave things out. You’re excited that you joined, but let’s say the right thing, not burn that warm market.

Marketing Plan and Potential Earnings. So were almost halfway through the list. And NOW the prospect is finally wondering, "Can I make some money?" Its not really about can they make some money. Its more, can YOU train me? Can YOU help me make money? And how much money isn't the issue. It’s just, "Can I do this and make some money?" So 1, 2, & 3 were about you. Then we finally get to money. They want to know a little about the compensation plan. Don’t go into great detail, because they probably won't understand much of it, anyway.

Product Line. We finally get to products. Are you paying close attention? Because if you've got a prospect, and you tryto tell them the secret ingredients, how the product works or how your long distance service switches work, how deep the cables are buried or whatever your productor service is ...... then you're going at this bass ackwards! People don't care about that stuff. They just want to know, what’s the product? Can I use it? Don't waste time teaching them how many grams of sodium it has. Keep it simple. Let’s recap, First, they need to like the person who did the presentation. So you need to learn a bit about them and identify with them. Next, they want to make sure they can do it. They want to believe. Third, they want to make sure you and the people you work with can train them. Then comes money. Then comes product line. Is that how you had the first 5 on YOUR list? Do you follow this order of importance when you talk to people? What should you remember: People join people, they don't join companies.

Being first in the area. Have you noticed we havent even talked about the company yet, but were being first in the area? People don't want to blaze a trail, but the they do want to see there's a large potential to have some growth there.

Company Literature shown. There are a LOT of networkers who focus on the literature. But this isn't a reading business. It's a relationship business. If you don't believe that, take alook at the top 3 on this list again. If you're relying on a sales brochure to sell someone or an audiotape or a videotape, you'd better think again. Its back to you. If I have a real nice 3D presentation, holograms, smokeand lights, that's great. But if I don't connect with people on a personal level, nothing else matters.

Company Image. Maybe you show a video featuring a 20,000 square foot office & warehouse, on three acres in an exclusive suburb, all the bells & whistles. Big whoop. That's #8 on their list, barely on the radar. Why bother? They just need to know the company is there, its legitimate, not hiding behind some post office box or working out of a storage unit, and will send them a check. Thats basically all they care about at this point. So were almost to the end of what's important to prospects. But Ive been to a lot of presentations, and "Company Image" tends to be the FIRST thing shown & mentioned. "Hi. My company name is Blah-Blah. They're great. I'm now going to waste 20 minutes of your valuable time & tell you all about them. "A lot of presentations that are done bass-ackwards, from a prospects angle ... which is the ONLY angle that matters.

Is The Sales Kit provided? Now the prospect wants to know that you do have a good video, you do have good literature, you've got tools and services they can use to build their business. So YOU are still the most important thing and the sales kit is almost the least important thing! But how many presentations have you seen where first they talk about the company, then they show the sales kit? Prospects dont care. They need to know if you can help them, if the upline can help them. Can they make some money? Can you help them be successful? Which brings us to our final item ...

Company Management experience. LEAST important to the prospect is that the president is a family man, and he's got four or five families to prove it. It does not matter to the prospect. So this whole process is way simpler than most people think: 1. Make sure they like you. 2. Make sure they believe they can do it. If you don't do those two, nothing else matter's. Think about all this for a second. You're talking to a prospect. You start off with the company management experience, which is the least important thing to them. Now your prospect is leaning back, eyes are glazed over, zoned-out, nodding off. They've heard it all before, and they just don't care. But what if you start with the most important thing first- YOU! Tell them a story about your experience in the business (or your upline's experience, if you're new). Tell them how you work with people, and exactly what you'll do to help them be successful. THAT is what prospects want.
